SR released by ASIM; alphabet laments

June 9, 2010

Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine just released S.R. after their three month hold. They had some good comments and some potentially constructive ones. I’ll read it through, maybe tweak it, and send it back out; I’m thinking to my new friend Ed at IGMS.

My wife just left town for a few days. Not sure if that will lead to more or less writing getting done. The call of “Daddy” suggests less. 😦 We’ll see.

Sorry to hear that, Scott, but like you said — you’ve got a new friend at IGMS. I’m anxious to hear how that sort of in-person networking affects the likelihood of acceptances. Probably quite a lot, I’m guessing.

My guess is that it only tweaks the mindset of the editor to read something by someone known. It could tilt a borderline story. What it could do is open the door to more thorough personalized rejections. It still has to get past some assistants to reach Ed. No guarantees.
